CDI-Cast, The Role of Senior Management in CDI: Initial and continuing responsibilitiesProgram Description In this session we discuss the role of senior management in CDI with a focus on a common understanding of what needs to be achieved in the program, along with the importance of excellent communication and support structures. The executive team’s accountability for program vision, medical staff support, budget, key metrics, support and guidance and feedback are described. Case studies from organizations that have effective senior leadership in clinical documentation are described. Key metrics, including content and importance, are described in detail. You will learn how to determine your clinical documentation key metrics and how to set reasonable, yet challenging goals for your organization. If you already have key metrics in place, you will learn how to assess the effectiveness of those metrics. Session tools
