CDI-Cast, The CDI Vision: Revisit your vision annually to reassess and reaffirm your commitmentProgram Description In this program, we revisit the vision concept addressed in Program 6. Vision is a dynamic concept that needs to be reassessed on a regular basis. The most successful organizations create and follow their vision statements. The best organizations revisit their vision statements annually. If you have a clinical documentation vision, check it against your organization’s current vision and mission. If you have not yet developed a clinical documentation vision, create one now using principles addressed in this session. Answer the questions, “Why do we want to improve our clinical documentation?” and “What do we hope to achieve by implementing a new, or upgrading a current, clinical documentation program?” Use your responses to these questions, coupled with current key metrics and physician post-testing to determine if you are on the path towards achieving your clinical documentation vision. If not, determine what steps you need to take to get back on the path. Session tools
