CDI-Cast, Follow-up training: Using outcomes measures to design training and why it should go on and on and onProgram Description Follow-up training has the greatest impact if it is designed to target identified weaknesses in the system. In this session you will learn about the two primary measurement processes of documentation testing and audits. In addition, the use of operational measures employed in day- to-day clinical documentation programs is described. First, the basic components of clinical documentation audits are described. Next, the use of clinical documentation retesting as a way to create the content of ongoing clinical documentation training is described. Examples of testing materials are shared and methods to obtain the best support from physicians in retesting are described. Suggestions for incorporating findings from tests and audits into follow-up training are made. Session tools
