One of the most important components of any clinical documentation program is physician training and education. And, having physicians participate in creating the sessions is likely to provide the best results. One effective way to have physicians participate in creating the training is by asking the physicians to complete brief questionnaires prior to the training. In this session, we describe the use of training questionnaires that were proven successful by the physicians who participated in the CAMP™ Method study. Dr. Russo will share with you the results of the CAMP Method questionnaires and how they were used to enhance physician training.
You can use one or more of the CAMP Method questionnaires with your own clinical documentation training. In the program you will learn strategies for administering tests and surveys to physicians. You will also learn how to analyze and use the data obtained from physician responses to create a training program that is both more engaging and relevant for your physicians. You can use results to enhance all CAMP components, but in particular, the Asking and Coaching components – and Dr. Russo will describe exactly how you can do this. You will also learn how to apply these concepts to clinical documentation for all clinicians, coders and managers, not just physicians.
